(For Users and Participating Drivers)

Introduction
GoCab values your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy
explains how we collect, use, and share information when you use the GoCab SuperApp (“the App”),
whether as a User (customer/rider) or a Participating Driver.
By using the App, you agree to the collection and processing of your personal data as described in
this policy.
A. Collection of Personal Data
1. Personal Data You Provide to Us
- Register an account (name, email, mobile number, profile photo).

Submit driver accreditation documents (driver’s license, vehicle registration, government-issued ID,
proof of insurance, background checks where legally permitted).
Providing certain data is necessary to fulfill contractual or legal obligations. Failure to provide it
may prevent you from using our services.
2. Personal Data of Minors
GoCab does not knowingly collect personal data from individuals under 18 years of age. If discovered,
such data will be deleted promptly.
3. Personal Data Collected Automatically
- Device information (IP address, device model, OS version, IMEI, advertising ID).
- Usage data (app interactions, session duration).
- Communication data (messages, call logs, support chats).
- Transaction data (payments, fares, trip distance, timestamps, ratings).
- Location data (see Section B).
4. Personal Data from External Sources
- Payment processors and fleet partners.
- Government agencies (e.g., LTO verification).
- Public records or marketing partners (with consent).
5. Additional Data for Participating Drivers
- Telematics data (speed, braking, acceleration).
- Vehicle details (plate number, make, model, year).
B. Location Data Collection and Use
1. When We Collect Location
- Users: Only while the app is active (ride booking, trip tracking).
- Drivers: While online and available; background location if permitted.
2. Types of Location Data
- Precise GPS location.
- Approximate location when GPS is unavailable.
3. How We Use Location Data
- Matching riders with nearby drivers.
- Route calculation, ETA, fare estimation.
- Real-time trip tracking.
- Safety monitoring and fraud prevention.
- Service improvement using anonymized data.
4. Location Sharing
- Assigned drivers/riders during active trips.
- Mapping providers for navigation.
- GoCab safety and support teams during incidents.
We do not sell or use location data for advertising.
5. User Control & Retention
- Location permissions can be managed via device settings.
- Trip location logs retained up to 12 months.
- Anonymized data may be retained longer.
C. Retention of Personal Data
- Ride & payment records: 5 years.
- Driver documents: 3 years after deactivation.
- In-vehicle recordings: deleted after 7 days unless required.
D. Protection of Personal Data
We implement encryption, access controls, and regular security audits. However, no system is 100%
secure.
E. How We Use Your Information
- Provide and improve services.
- Facilitate bookings and payments.
- Verify identity and prevent fraud.
- Comply with legal obligations.
F. Your Rights
- Access and correct your data.
- Request deletion (subject to law).
- Restrict or object to processing.
- Withdraw consent.

- Lodge complaints with the NPC.
G. International Data Transfers
Data may be processed outside the Philippines with appropriate safeguards.
H. Changes to This Policy
Updates will be posted with a revised effective date. Continued use indicates acceptance.
